Mako’s Sketch Journal: JAF Headquarters at Albert Hall

Sketches from the Junction Art Festival headquarters at Launceston’s historic Albert Hall, which is in the style of high Victorian architecture. The office is nice and cozy with walls painted in warm cream yellow and pretty windows framed by white thick frames. Friendly Junction staff sit on chairs or balance balls at their desks in front of their windows while working on the Festival. It’s a pretty view of Launceston’s terraced hills. I’m looking forward to seeing how the scenery of Launceston will change when the Festival begins.

今日はJunction Art Festivalのオフィスからのスケッチをお届けします。ビクトリア様式の建築であるアルバートホール内にあるこのオフィスは、あたたかいクリーム色の壁はすっと立ち上がり、天井高がたかく、そこに可愛らしい白い枠で縁取られた窓が切り抜かれていて、とても居心地がいい場所なんです。この窓の前の椅子やバランスボールに座って、ロンセストン市街の景色を眺めながら仕事をしている、というわけです。祭りが始まったときには、この町の景色がどんな風に変わっていくんだろう、なんて想像していまからうきうきしています。
