Do I need to buy a ticket to attend Junction?
We have a range of free and ticketed events as part of the festival - check out our program for more information.
Who is eligible for a concession ticket?
We accept: Seniors Cards, DVA Cards, Health Care Cards, Pension Cards, Full-Time Students and Children Under 16.
If you purchase a concession ticket you will be asked to present your valid concession card at the venue.
It’s kind of cold and wet outside, will Junction still go on?
Yes! Junction is here to liven up Launceston and the show must go on in rain, hail or shine. We would recommend dressing for the conditions - a nice warm coat, scarf, beanie, gloves and wet weather gear is recommended. Rarely will shows be cancelled due to weather, but please check our Facebook page (for live updates).

What accessibility provisions are available?
Junction strives to make the festival as accessible as possible. Given the nature of some events, on rare occasions there may be limited access. Further details are listed on our accessibility page as well as the event pages. Feel free to contact us to confirm specific details of performances.
Will there be food and drink available at the festival or can I bring my own?
An excellent selection of Tasmanian food vans will be in Prince's Square throughout the Junction dates. While we ask that you support our vendors, we understand that children, or those with allergies, may need to bring their own food. As this is a licensed event, you are not permitted to bring alcohol into any of our venues. Check the website for details.
I love my pet; can they enjoy the art too?
We love pets too, however generally pets are not permitted to attend performances in formal venues. Guide dogs and assistance animals are however permitted in all venues. Please note pet relief areas may not be available.
I’m not an arty type, will there still be something at the festival for me?
Absolutely, Junction is about putting everyone at the heart of the action. The program truly features something for every taste, age and disposition. Check out our program and search for something that would interest you. We have music, dance, live performance, installations + more!

Yes, Junction Arts Festival Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation (ABN 36 414 918 339). You can donate to Junction here.
Are your tickets GST inclusive?
Ticket prices include GST. A 3% card fee applies for each transaction.

Junction aims to offer a program full of fun events for the general public. Your donation will help us make sure that we can continue to create this great event every year.

Junction Arts Festival is an international multi-arts festival with a focus on interactive, participatory performance work and site-specific installations. Junction features the work of artists from the local community of Launceston, Tasmania, across Australia and around the world.
