Below are the symbols used across our program to communicate the access provisions of each of our events and venues. This is an evolving process, as we aim to provide additional access provisions across each of our venues and performances.
Junction’s Festival Hub is centrally located in Launceston and parking is subject to availability. Other venues outside of this area will have regular on-street provisions.
Some reserved accessible parking will be available during Junction on Elizabeth St, outside the main entrance to Prince’s Square.

If booking online, you will be given the option to advise of any accessibility requirements at time of purchase. This information will be passed onto our venues front-of-house team. You are welcome to call us on 0422 762 197 for support booking tickets.
Guide dogs and assistance animals are welcome in all venues. Please note that pet relief areas may not be available.

Junction Arts Festival is proud to support the Companion Card Program. Companion Card tickets are available for all events in the 2026 program and can be issued through our ticketing provider.
To request a Companion Card ticket, purchase the required paid ticket/s through Oztix, but do not purchase a separate ticket for the companion. Once your order is confirmed, contact Oztix Customer Support and provide your Oztix order number and a clear image of the photo side of a valid Companion Card. Once verified, the companion ticket will be issued and sent to the email address linked to the order.

Princes Square transforms into Junction’s Festival Hub. The space offers multiple performance zones across accessible grassed areas with low edging and asphalt pathways. Prince’s Square is a City of Launceston managed asset that we hire as our Festival Hub for the duration of Junction Arts Festival. Junction are not responsible for the maintenance of this public space.
The performance venues inside Prince’s Square include Junction’s Little Devil, as well as the Fountain Pavilion. All of these venues are wheelchair accessible. The Little Devil seating is unreserved, and there is space available for those using wheelchairs. The Fountain Pavilion has limited seating, but plenty of space for everyone.

Services include, food vans, bars, information booth and box office.
Junction Arts Festival’s multi arts venue within Prince’s Square. The Fountain Pavilion is where Junction’s musical acts take centre stage. This is where you will find our Festival headliners, music arts, community events and performances. Set against the backdrop of the Val d’Osne Fountain you’ll find some unforgettable Junction experiences.

Launceston’s premier wine bar and tasting room provides the perfect sophisticated backdrop for intimate artistic experiences. Born from a love of food, wine, and Launceston itself, Havilah offers an elevated setting where creativity and fine wine intersect.

An outdoor performance space at the centre of the Festival Hub, The Park Stage offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can relax, enjoy music and sample the delectable treats from our food vendors.

Smith’s Lane, Launceston
Smith’s Lane Stables is home to performances across each festival night, before transforming into Blind Pig Stables, a late-night lounge

Backyard Bands returns this year, bringing Tasmanian musicians into backyards around Launceston. This year’s event is held in the yard of a newly developed East Launceston home.
Accessibility: The venue is accessed via a sloping driveway, and the backyard itself has uneven ground.

The Majestic Theatre is located on the site of the old Neil Pitts.
Accessibility: The Majestic Theatre is a heritage building. The performance venue is not accessible to wheelchair users, and there is no lift or alternative accessible entry to the performance space. If you have mobility needs and would like to discuss options, please contact us ahead of the event.
We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of Junction Arts Festival. From waste management to transportation choices, we’re focused on sustainable practices that benefit our community and the planet.
Cans for Recycling – All beverage cans are collected for the Recycle Rewards program. If you represent a community group interested in receiving cans for processing and the income from their return, please get in touch.
Compost & Biodegradable Waste – Food scraps and compostable materials are separated for composting.
General Waste – Remaining waste is disposed of responsibly.
All of our vendors use biodegradable products, and single-use plastics are strictly prohibited. Our bars partner with local suppliers to purchase bulk spirits and products, significantly reducing cardboard box packaging and bottle waste. This approach supports local businesses while minimising our environmental footprint.
Junction’s Festival Hub is designed for pedestrian access. We encourage all attendees to leave their cars at home and explore Launceston by foot or public transport. Did you know all public transport in Launceston is free during Festival? This not only reduces emissions but also makes parking more accessible for those who need it.
Say goodbye to printed tickets! At checkout, you have the option to receive your tickets via SMS or email. It’s quick, convenient, and keeps your entry to Junction events completely paperless.
We’ve committed to digital-led marketing to reduce our print footprint. You won’t find printed programs at Junction – instead, we encourage you to utilise QR codes throughout the Festival Hub to access the full festival program and our interactive daily planner. This allows you to plan your time at Junction and stay up-to-date with all event information on the go, while significantly reducing paper waste.
We’d love to work with community groups and local organisations on our sustainability initiatives. If you have a community group interested in our can recycling program or other sustainability partnerships, please contact us.
