Myra Magdalene is a songstress, showgirl and storyteller. Raised by two passionate musicians, she was born into the world of the theatre.
Training in song and dance from a young age, Myra grew up with an unwavering passion for the stage. After beginning a career in commercial dance and musical theatre, burlesque feels like coming home to her.
A rising star in Melbourne’s burlesque scene, she has already made her mark as co-producer, band coordinator, and chanteuse for Miss Maple Rose’s Whoop Dee Doo Revue. She is also a proud member of Melbourne based burlesque group The Sugar Showgirls.
Myra Magdalene’s work is dedicated to paying homage to the hardworking musicians, artists, and dancers that came before her. A mixture of leather and lace, sweet but sinful, and unapologetically queer as hell.
