Saturday Session #1

Hometown’s Saturday Session #1 is jam-packed with Junction favourites and some fresh faces new to the Square! Head down early to take in all the action of the day from the comfort of your picnic rug.

We’ll be kicking off the day with the much-loved Tweed Ride, complete with cucumber sandwiches. Keeping the vibes going on the Mainstage will be local musicians Claire Anne Taylor, Raccoon Dog and Yugen.

Book a place in the City of Launceston’s Junction Botany workshop - lead by artist Alastair Mooney, this hands-on workshop will delve into Margaret Stone’s botanical illustrations.

Northern Children’s Network will be in the park hosting art workshops for children, and the whole family can enjoy Masked Family Portraits by Team Textiles.

TAC (Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre) will be hosting takariliya lina - fun and games in palawa kani for children and families.

As well as all things arts and music, you can expect some of your favourite food vans and Tassie’s finest beer, wine & spirits to see you through a fun-filled day in the park!
