Launceston poet Kim Neilsen-Creely has crafted a superb range of poems for her first collection, drawing on notions of family history and deep connections with some of Tasmania’s far-flung places. Featuring Q and A with Kim and selected readings. Copies of Roughly will be available for purchase at the venue.
Kim Nielsen-Creeley is a writer and poet from lutruwita (Tasmania). She was born in Queenstown and returns often. The ‘road in’ is important, traversing the old highways, the lake areas, mountains, and the personal and political history of the Island. Kim lives in Launceston and is involved with local poetry groups where she regularly reads.
