A mass participatory rock-show spectacular where Mad Max meets Ziggy Stardust meets Saturday Night Fever!

Starring over 50 musicians and dancers from our sensational Tasmanian community, RESURGENCE invites you to throw your hands in the air, rage against the machine and celebrate the collective joy of coming together.

Join us for this world premiere performance event led by internationally acclaimed creative director Joseph O’Farrell (JOF) and choreographed by rising WA dance artist Kimberley Parkin. RESURGENCE is one for the whole family!

Joseph O’Farrell (JOF) is a multi-art performer, producer, curator, musician and lecturer making work between Melbourne and London.
JOF creates large-scale installation/theatre works with, and for, community that celebrates our diversity and brings people together in hilarious and unlikely situations.

He is a founding member of Junkyard Theatre company, The Suitcase Royale; a trio that has been touring new Australian theatre works nationally and internationally since 2004.

Parkin Projects is driven by the exploration of multidisciplinary approaches to dance. Under the direction of independent artist Kimberley Parkin, this Boorloo based company strives to be a leader in producing accessible and resourceful dance productions whilst closely working with other local artists. Through a project-based approach, the collective forges new pathways and connections within the arts industry by continuous adaptation in each passing performance. The company's focus is on the present. Thus, performances explore concepts which are relevant to the founder’s experience as a young artist in a Western socio-political backdrop.
