A Recipe for Rebellion
The Stompers have concocted their very own Tassie taste trail. Stomp around with us to our favourite local cafes and collect all the ingredients you need to create your own recipe for rebellion. The Stompin Youth Choreographic Project (SYCP) enables creative young Tasmanians to make and present a collection of self-devised, site-specific dance performances through a choreographic mentorship. In 2023, internationally recognised dance artist Courtney Scheu (based across Israel and Queensland), came to Lutruwita/Tasmania, mentoring the Stompers and guiding the creation of Recipe for Rebellion.

Stompin is a vital force in Australian youth dance, leading the sector with its ambitious site-specific practice, innovative programs and empowering approach to the engagement and development of young dance artists. Stompin began in 1992 with the idea that when young people collaborate with professional artists they can create inspiring, bold and relevant new dance works and through that process, experience transformative personal and creative growth.
StompinTickets are non-refundable except in circumstances such as the cancellation of an event or forced changes due to COVID-19.
Tickets will be scanned at Front of House before entry. Please bring your ticket on a mobile device, or a hard copy of your ticket to the event.
