Each night, opening hour of the Literary Lounge will be dedicated to the little ones. Bring the kids along and settle in for readings by a range of Tasmanian children's authors and storytellers.

For the adults, the Lounge will also feature a cosy and intimate bar for your nightcap.

Lyndon will read his beloved picture book Becoming Ellie, a poignant tale of a greyhound in search of a sense of purpose and belonging.

This evening's event will also feature the reading of a picture book commissioned by the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre and written in palawa kani, the language of Tasmanian Aborigines.

Sharon J Yaxley

Launceston author and illustrator Sharon J Yaxley will charm you and your little ones with readings from a selection of her beautiful stories for children. According to Sharon, ‘creating stories is making memories and connections to moments in the past and experiences in the future. Storytelling requires imagination. Fill each day with a story! Where will your imagination take you?
