The festival has a selection of free and ticketed events. The Festival Hub in Prince's Square is FREE, with ticketed performances and shows occurring in and around the Square.
Tickets will be available from Monday July 8 2019 on this website. Tickets can also be purchased from the Prince's Square Box Office between Monday 2nd - Sunday 8th September.
We accept: Seniors Cards, DVA Cards, Health Care Cards, Pension Cards, Full-Time Students and Children Under 16.
If you purchase a concession ticket you will be asked to present your valid concession card at the venue.
Yes! Junction is here to liven up Launceston and the show must go on in rain, hail or shine. There are both indoor and outdoor events. We would recommend dressing for the conditions, a nice warm coat, scarf, beanie, gloves and wet weather gear is recommended. Rarely will shows be cancelled due to weather, but please check our Facebook page (for live updates) or pop into the Box Office in Prince's Square to ask one of our friendly staff.
Junction is four days and nights of contemporary arts glory. It all kicks off on Wednesday September 4th and winds up on Sunday September 8th. For the four days of the Festival there are shows on day and night. Please check the program for more detailed information about times of show and events.
You can find out all you need to know right here on our website, however you can also pick up a program at various locations around town.
Junction strives to make the Festival as accessible as possible. Given the nature of some events, on rare occasions there may be limited access. Further details will be listed on the event pages or feel free to contact us to confirm specific details of performances.
An excellent selection of Tasmanian food vans will be in Prince's Square throughout the Festival dates. Check the website for details. Feel free to bring your own picnic.
Food is not permitted inside ticketed shows.
There are some adult only shows, but we do have plenty of family-friendly events suitable for youngsters. Junction aims to not only entertain the parents, but the babies and grandparents too. Please have a look at our program to find information on events. As for prams, we’ve got lots of space.
We love pets too, however generally pets are not permitted to attend performances in formal venues. Please contact us for specific information regarding support animal/special access requirements.

Yes, Junction Arts Festival Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation (ABN 36 414 918 339).
Through auspicing, we are able to receive donations and provide tax receipts. Please contact us for more details.
Due to our Not For Profit status, our tickets are GST free.
Junction aims to offer a program full of fun events for the general public. Your donation will help us make sure that we can continue to create this great event every year.
