ROOKE is Launceston’s own contemporary circus company. Assembled by Tony Rooke in escaping COVID in Europe and Montreal back in 2021, four of the world’s most in-demand acrobats created Tony’s Imaginary Circus for Junction Arts Festival. Before coming together, they performed with companies including Circa, Gravity and Other Myths, Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize, Circus Oz and The 7 Fingers.

For the past five years, from their home in Northern lutruwita/Tasmania they have created seven full-length works and toured to places that only locals know. ROOKE are engaging, fun, virtuosic, and never half-baked. With a focus on storytelling, skill, and sustainability; they are underdogs who always deliver above expectations.
