Jem Nicholas is a big artist in a small/medium sized body. She learnt to channel her
unbridled rage into acting, improvisation, puppeteering, singing, and physical theatre, and is
also a newly certified Alexander Technique teacher. She has studied in Australia and New
York, and performed both nationally and internationally in main-stage and independent
productions.
Jem is the founder of ‘Act Wild Theatre’ that creates workshops and events for actors in
Hobart. Similarly, she offers drama teachings and directing for performers with a disability.
This is her first time doing stand up and she can’t wait for you all to laugh at her.
Junction acknowledges the Palawa people as the original and ongoing owners and custodians of Lutruwita. We pay our respects to elders past and present, and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.
