Hayley Diane is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from rural Tasmania. Getting her start in choir at just 8-years-old, she quickly moved into theatre and opera, granting her many opportunities to advance her skill with the help of many great tutors and directors.
She has participated in works such as the Gondwana choirs Festival of Summer Voices when she was 16, as well as scoring many lead/feature roles in musicals like Flashdance and Grease with Launceston College, The Little Prince, Harmonia Mundi and many more with the Waldorf Wayfarers.
Now as an adult trying to find her place in the industry, Hayley has also taken up song-writing as a way to share her experience with others who may not have had someone put it into words.
The title track of her album in progress, Rest Assured, was written in late 2023, but the oldest track is Again, first written all the way back in 2018, at 15 years old, already showing an intricate understanding of the craft.
Hayley’s song-writing touches on subjects of trust and trauma, demonstrating deep introspection, and delivering wonderfully spun web of nuance and emotion.
