Prince's Square

For this one special time of the year Junction will light up the beautiful and historic 19th century Prince’s Square transforming it into a night garden of sparkling lights, illuminations and art experiences for everyone. Come and see the Square’s two giant Sequoias, amazing oak and elm trees, and stunning French designed Val d’Osne Fountain, all drenched in beautiful washes of light and colour.

Prince’s Square has an extraordinary history as a place of celebration, bush-ranger hangings, protests, visits by British Royalty, and was the site for the declaration to end convict transportation to Van Diemen’s Land. In 2016, its history takes another exciting turn, as it becomes Junction’s Festival village featuring shows, the fabulous Fountain Bar, pop-up food stalls, art installations, music, kid’s activities and live entertainment
