TasmaniaPresented by Junction Arts Festival and Music Tasmania
A bespoke format of Music Tasmania’s major music industry showcase Amplified, Amplified+ features live performances by Tasmanian artists.
Hosted in The Junc Room on Thursday 11 September, Amplified+ showcases an infusion of sounds, from raucous folk-punk and psychedelic jazz-rock, to melodious folk and acoustic singer-songwriters, featuring live performances by Tasmanian artists The Stayns, Josef Josef, Paper Souls, Siobhan Corcoran and Marty Kooistra.
Delegates Carin Waterson from Adelaide Film Festival, Tom Larnach-Jones from The Gasometer Hotel and Pam Merrigan from National Folk Festival will present a workshop on live performance and touring.
Adelaide Fringe is Australia’s largest open-access arts festival with over 900 events, 4000 artists and audiences over 1.9 million in 2014. Carin Waterson is the Artists & Venues Manager and works with artists and venues in supporting them to participate in the festival.
Pam Merrigan is Director of the National Folk Festival, an annual celebration of everything folk from the quirky to the more traditional notions of the genre. Pam Merrigan has extensive experience in music arts and education, arts production and management.
